Dakar at Christmas 2007 @11 months

Scirocco's Dakar is extreme white with black ticking, black markings outlining a white blaze on his head. As a puppy he was evaluated as one of two picks of the litter. He displays lovely effortless movement and beautiful soulful eyes.

Dakar is owned by Michelle Haneysmith. She just recently relocated to Phoenix, AZ from Colorado for a new job and to find a new home for her family and hounds. Dakar is staying with us at Kennel Scirocco until she settles into her new home. Having brother Djinn to play with, Dakar is having a rousing good time and has adjusted well being back with us and our pack of Silkens.

From his owner: "Dakar is exactly what I wanted in my next Silken Windhound. The Steele's at Kennel Scirocco were kind and generous enough to allow him to come into my life, my home, and my heart. He is playful and cuddly. He is a thief and will steal your heart and breath at the same time with his joyous temperament and his stunning movement. He loves his humans and is eager to learn and please. Dakar also loves his little humans and smiles as he runs and plays games with them.

I feel he has a lot of promise in the show ring as well as the race track. He shows tremendous drive and speed at his practices and I can't wait to see him tear up the track in 2008. In his two shows so far he has taken 2nd place in both shows, one the national specialty and the other a regional specialty in Northern California. Once to an older dog and next to his own stunning brother, Djinn.
